We're obsessed with doing more of everything.
It's no surprise because that's what our ancestors did pre-civilization. They wanted to make more farm houses, give birth to more kids, build more wells, and you name it.
With time this has become an interesting way of life.
All stuck in the dire hustle to multiply what we have, forget about the quality of what must be multiplied.
Thanks to that mistake, we've increasingly birthed criminals, people who struggle to make the right decisions, swayed by the influence of other people.
This isn't because those people are incompetent as a result of their birth, but we invested the time and focus meant for training them, in making more babies.
Business isn't an exception.
We see thousands of products been shipped into the marketplace everyday, companies using psychological hacks and manipulative strategies to get customers to buy, but never stop to wonder "if our wrong approach causes harm for one person, and then the next, who would birth more babies and train sane people to grow up and buy from us?"
The obsession for now, and the relevance of numbers have eaten deep into us that we're willing to sacrifice our true beliefs, in order to prove a point with "numbers."
No wonder most people struggle to make progress.
Not surprising why a promising company suddenly disappears.
What's the catch?
Like the Bible quipped "in what ever your hands finds doing, do it well."
The emphasis is on "doing it well."
Make your products the best.
Train your kids to be the best.
Be the best husband available.
When you focus on making one thing better, then you'll have more time to make more things better.
Got it?
PS: Remember, it's about making better decisions.
