MAN IN HIS MIND: Why Our Dreams Live and Die in Our Mind.
Man is the greatest gift that planet Earth accrued to itself during creation.
His structure is a mystery that has made man give many definitions to himself.
He has called himself an “evolved being”
He has called himself “made in the image of God”
In fact, he dared call himself “god” or “God.”
To all, it might seem to be the mere idea of thoughts and words, formed in the place of thoughts.
But what if it’s more than that?
What if all these acclamations go beyond the very senses of our being?
What if it’s an expression of the deepest desires of our existence?
The subconscious telling of what lives in us.
For over 2000 years, we have walked this world.
You and I, the very key drivers of revolution and demolition on this planet.
We have engineered untethered courses of events, and have driven the same to the ground.
In the midst of all these, there’s one question you can all ask:
“Why?”
Why would man go to such lengths trying to prove, to express, to explain, define, juxtapose, interpret, all that is in his mind?
It’s because, in the mind of the man, lies the greatest gift of all, which is not man itself, but this gift in man.
It’s the gift of dreams.
That is the essence of man’s beauty.
It is why you and I feel like we are valuable and worthy.
It’s why you crave attention like nothing else.
Because there is
something on the inside.
A drive, sometimes like a monster, or a raging storm, that keeps telling you “There has to be more to my life.”
It is what drives innovation.
It is what drives damnation.
The question, however, isn’t whether there is proof of the presence of such element, but why throughout history, only, very minute percentage of the people who have walked the sands of this planet, have exhibited, revealed, to the greatest lengths, the full-fledged definition of their “dreams?”
Why is it that history, with the millions of documented events, and stories, have only been able to capture, very little stories of men who after their demise on Earth, proved, beyond facts and reason, that they fulfilled their true potentials?
Why is it that some questions, to which the word has endlessly sought answers to, lies with someone, somewhere in the river valley in Arizona, or the thick forests in the Benue Jungle in Nigeria, or deep down the old sites of the Atacama Desert?
Why did someone look at all these things and vexed saying “the richest place in the world is the graveyard?”
What could be the answer to the reason why a child will be born, full of hope, the dynamite waiting to explode, and reveal his brilliance to this world, only transcend to the world beyond, without ever making a noise?
These are questions that will truly bother any man alive?
After looking at this, questioning myself, the sages of this world, there can only be one answer, but not the only viable one:
“We have stayed in our minds.”
Man has lived in his mind.
Become rich in his mind.
Married in his mind, and died in his mind, without ever expressing the life he was designed to live.
The dreams of that young kid you saw yesterday, but never came to pass, he also saw it, but somehow thought he’d actualize it by living it out in his mind.
We have increasingly witnessed the exodus of millions of people on Earth, who think that dreaming is the fulfilment of their purpose, instead of living.
We have witnessed, and are witnessing, the legion of people who will spend their lives on Earth without ever actualizing their dreams, their ideas, their thoughts, to change the world, to make it a better place, and they do the world a disservice of dying with the answers that would have stopped a war, gave life to a dead heart, fixed broken marriages, restored madness, cured cancer, devoured HIV/AIDS, destroyed the powers of hell.
They have done the world a disservice of making us endless spend money, time, and our souls searching for what was theirs, and Lord knows, we might never find it.
This is a warning, to you, if you are alive.
You don’t have to live in your head anymore.
You don’t have to keep dreaming only.
Start living.
Stop staying in your mind.
Stop being rich in your mind.
Stop writing that great book in your mind.
Don’t make that innovation in your mind.
Reveal it to us.
To the world.
Show us that you are the saviour we have been waiting for.
The answers to our questions, our prayers.
Start taking action today.
Stop feeling like you have no place in the world.
You do have a place.
The world needs your genius.
Stop living it in your head.
Because you are the only one that can see it there.
And you can’t even benefit from it, except the short-aged dopamine it gives you.
Let the world behold “you.”
Let it feel your essence.
We are waiting for you.
For your revelation.
For your exposition.
Who knows:
You might be the next negotiator to stop wars, fix businesses, and change lives.
Don’t deprive millions of others, the chance, to take a second chance at live.
Don’t let someone jump off another bridge, because you refused to show up.
Don’t let another child in Afghanistan die, because you are running like Jonah did.
Don’t let another mother die, because you refused to build that hospital that would have saved her.
Don’t let depression snatch someone’s loved one, because you are scared of what people will say if you become a psychologist, or motivator.
There’s someone out there, who doesn’t’ need to buy another course, or cry uncle, because he has you, because she found you.
Show up.
Show us.
Be reborn.
