- Were successful because they were born into a rich family.
But I was totally wrong, and rightly so.
After dwelling in my ignorance for a long while, I finally figured out why these successful people have been able to create predictable outcomes more often than not.
It all boils down to one simple truth:
They have learned how to do the little things that don't matter in order to create the big things that do matter.
The results you see these people accrue isn't luck, it's the embodiment of little frictionless actions that seem not to pay off in the moment.
Ray Dialo who's worth $14B according to Forbes, didn't wake up one morning to build such wealth.
We don't see the little headaches of setting up a meeting, launching a business, losing money invested in businesses, managing his family.
But effectiveness is a consequence of efficiency, and efficiency is born through consistency.
The absurd truth is that successful people don't get surprised or lucky, they know they are most likely to win, because they dare what others don't.
Sometimes, they display what I call "foolish wisdom"
It's a situation where you do the little things that people think is crazy.
Like Elon who had to quit his PhD program to start his company.
Talk about Michael Saul Dell who once washed dishes, bought a computer with his wages and decided to build his own.
Upfront those little things are what the society calls "foolish."
They label you as crazy.
But that's what makes people eventually praise you when you win.
Those little stacks that leads to the stars is where the gold lies.
You must be willing to be ignored today if you'll be remembered tomorrow.
Detach from shortcuts and pursuit of success that doesn't last.
Start doing what is needful but often ignored, if you truly want to win.
